Nisha Dahiya is an Indian wrestler from village adiyana district panipat Haryana. She is part of the Indian contingent at the 2024 Summer Olympics at Paris. She is the fifth Indian wrestler to make to Paris.
Career
Dahiya qualified for the Paris Olympics at the World Olympic qualifiers at Istanbul in May 2024. She defeated Romania's Alexandra Anghel in the 68 kg semi-finals to book her Olympic berth.
She competed at the 2021 U23 World Wrestling Championships, winning the bronze medal in the women's freestyle 65 kg event. She competed at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships in the women's freestyle 68 kg event, losing in the bronze medal match. She won a silver medal in the 2023 Asian Wrestling Championships.
False news
In November 2021 it was erroneously reported that Dahiya had been killed, after a different wrestler of the same name was shot.
