Ana Nogueira (born May 2, 1985) is an American actress, playwright, and screenwriter. She is known for her roles as Sarah on Sarah Dee and Penny Ares on The Vampire Diaries. She originated the role of Eliza Hamilton in the original Vassar workshop production of Lin-Manuel Miranda's stage musical Hamilton.
She recently started collaborating with James Gunn on his DC Comics Cinematic Universe, screenwriting the film Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow (2026) and an untitled Teen Titans film.
Early life
Nogueira grew up in East Falls, Philadelphia, and attended Friends' Central School. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2007.
