10 buildings sustained major damage or partially collapsed in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks, and 10 others were destroyed, 2 of which were demolished due to heavy damage. Several other buildings sustained varying levels of damage, including every building in the World Financial Center and most of the buildings on Vesey Street.
